Thank you for visiting this site and reflecting on the life of 2LT Harold B. “Pinky” Durham, Jr. who may well have experienced more “life” in his 25 years and 5 days than many who lived much longer. Pinky loved life, his country, his family, Tifton, Georgia, the Rocky Mountains..... more than a few great friends, his fellow soldiers, the people of Viet Nam and most of all...God.

Dating back to our Tifton days on Missouri Avenue with the Bennets, Bill Harrell, Sara Huff and the rest of our “sureal” Army, our fighting battles were “serious”. Wow... what a way to grow up.

Pinky was a real prankster with an endearing smile, a “devilish” sense of humor, compassion for anyone or anything in need, and...when it came to it...more guts than the average person would need.

I know how much “fight” he had in him... I was his only brother and we did a fair amount of practicing that together. Lord, how I wish I could just have one more punch at him...or better yet...get hit!

God rest your soul, dear brother... you are sorely missed. Your loving brother, Johnny
